The annual Interview Issue of The Skateboard Mag has been out for a couple of weeks now, and a DC pro, a DC am, and even a DC photographer all have interviews in it. Here’s the breakdown:
- Ryan Smith opens up about the motorcycle crash that nearly ended his life while talking about getting back on his skateboard and motorbike to ride again. The article has got a few good photos to prove that Smithers, though lucky to be walking, is ripping hard as ever.
- Chaz Ortiz breaks out as this month’s New Jack—the interview and skate photos are worth a look, especially for those that don’t know him outside his Dew Tour results.
- DC Photog Mike Blabac shares more thoughts on his massive coffee table book of skateboarding photography that dropped last month: “Mike Blabac—The Art of Skateboarding Photography.” It’s a rad added depth to the project for those of you that didn’t get enough via the complete minisite at dcshoes.com/blabac.
