The Global DC King series returns with DC King of Sao Paulo. An amateur street skating king will be crowned after two days of competition this weekend.
The DC King concept was started in 2006 with a month-long am contest in New York that hit real street spots in an effort to find the city’s King. The concept continued the following summer for DC King of Los Angeles, then a few months later for DC King of Barcelona.
For DC King of Sao Paulo we’ve tightened the contest up to one single weekend. Two spots will get sessioned to determine Sao Paolo’s King. Anhangabau, a city park-like spot the middle of Sao Paolo, is ledge spot that some have called the Brazilian EMB. Secondly, Morumbi Plaza (gaps, stairs, benches and more) will get hit.
Visit dcshoes.com/skate for updates all weekend straight from Brazil. The KOSP blog in the features area will keep you up on the contests and action via daily photos and video clips.
