The new Skatebook has finally dropped, and DC's Colin McKay is a major focus of it with a plus-sized feature dubbed "Icon Status." Through its 24 pages, the quarterly details Colin's rise from the streets of Vancouver to the vert notoriety he has today. Through photos and quotes -- Dyrdek, Sluggo, Way, Mountain, others -- his evolution is highlighted as he became the first to successfully bring street skating to the vert.
Like Dyrdek says, "Colin is a pure street skater trapped in knee pads and a helmet. He has done tricks on a vert ramp coping that a lot of pros street skaters couldn't do on a ledge."
Though the hardbound, high-quality, and big Skatebook is free in select skate shops, it can sometimes be hard to score a copy. Even harder is finding a copy signed by Colin McKay. That's why we're giving away 5 signed copies of Skatebook at dcskateboarding.tv! Just head over, enter your info, and we'll announce the winner in two weeks in this Newsclip and on the website.
