CHAZ ORTIZ WINS PARK AT DEW TOUR PORTLAND

Flawless—that was Chaz Ortiz as the Dew Tour hit Portland last weekend. The 15-year old took the skateboarding park win, his first of 2009, as he looks to repeat on his Dew Cup from 2008. He now sits first overall in the ’09 standings.

In the prelims Chaz landed just about everything, allowing him to qualify first. The format for the finals was like this: each skater got an individual run, followed by a longer jam format session with everyone. Chaz was super on his game in the finals as well… highlights for Chaz include his kickflip front bluntslide and a nollie heel backlip.
