KING OF SAO PAULO DAY 1
08/09/2008
We woke up to a rainy day in Brazil with the first King of Sao paulo contest scheduled to start at 11:00 AM. When we arrived to the spot, people were pouring rubbing alcohol on the ground, then igniting it to dry the cement........and it worked! We were able to run the contest long enough to get to the Semi finals when it began to rain again. Rather than make the kids battle it out in the rain, we are carrying the points over to tomorrows contest which will determine who will be crowned King of Sao paulo.

ANNOUNCING DC KING OF SAO PAULO
07/02/2008
The Global DC King series returns with DC King of Sao Paulo. An amateur street skating king will be crowned after two days of competition on August 9-10.
The DC King concept was started in 2006 with a month-long am contest in New York that hit real street spots in an effort to find the city's King. The concept continued the following summer for DC King of Los Angeles, then a few months later for DC King of Barcelona.
For DC King of Sao Paulo we've tightened the contest up to one single weekend. Two spots will get sessioned to determine Sao Paolo's King. Anhangabau, a city park-like spot the middle of Sao Paolo, is ledge spot that some have called the Brazilian EMB. Secondly, Morumbi Plaza (gaps, stairs, benches and more) will get hit.
Over the next few weeks check out dcskateboarding.tv and dcshoes.com for more information, and throughout DC King of Sao Paolo we'll be posting photos and video clips daily to keep you up on the South American action.
